Capacitance characteristics of solid tantalum:

• The small size of tantalum capacitor is due to the use of fine particles of tantalum powder, and the dielectric constant of tantalum oxide film is higher than that of aluminium oxide film, so the capacitance per unit volume of tantalum capacitor is larger.
   
   

• Wide temperature range, high temperature resistance, because there is no electrolyte inside the tantalum capacitor, it is very suitable for working at high temperature. Generally, tantalum electrolytic capacitors can work normally at temperatures ranging from - 50 C to 100 C. Although aluminium electrolysis can also work within this range, the electrical performance of tantalum electrolytic capacitors is far inferior to that of tantalum capacitors.

• Tantalum oxide film in tantalum capacitor with long life, high insulation resistance and low leakage current can not only resist corrosion, but also maintain good performance after long working time.
